Reading comments on the disaster that hit Japan, it's intriguing how people are still blabbering on and on about the 'end of time'.
At times like this is that really what we should be doing, arguing about a future that no one but God knows? I remember a hadeeth where the prophet mentioned, even if tomorrow is doomsday, plant a seed today. It was a very short reminder, but it has a lot of meaning. Right now we don't know what will happen in the future, but there is something we can do. Pray and work, pray and work. I said that before, but I'll say it again. Look at how people in Japan are struggling to keep each other going, how hard they are working. And we should lend as many hands as possible for a brighter future. It's the end of time? So what? So what if tomorrow's really Judgment Day? You still have to do what you do everyday, you still have to be kind to people, you still have to help each other. None of us have any rights to condemn one another of something that we have no knowledge of. And stating that doomsday is coming will not help anyone either. Do something that can really help people. We don't know when the end of the world is, and even if by the slightest chance that the end is really near, isn't that the more reason we should help each other stand up for the short future? That's why I extremely dislike the internet. People are spouting childish comments everywhere.
Well hey, I used to do that too. I used to give bad comments where I wasn't supposed to, even though I had good intentions. But that isn't enough. If we really have good intentions, then we must do it the right way. The more reason why anonymous commenting should be banned. Next time maybe we should make it so that every commentator has every little detail about him/her published as well so everyone would think it thoroughly before making any remarks that could hurt someone. Then again, doesn't that mean that the internet helped us expose our true nature? A lot of us act kind in front of people because they know us, but once we get the chance to do something under anonymity, we do it without a second thought. Ironic.

The only good thing about anonymity is when we use it to help someone. Like anonymously donating, or anonymously volunteering to search for survivors. I know a lot of people who do that. It's nice how half of the world keep on giving out their names and their supports to those struck by the disaster so that they know that they are not alone, and it's even nicer how the other half of the world are helping them from the shadows. Because people are working to help each other.
There are many things I respect about Japan especially from this event. They weren't killing each other for food, they even helped animals and pets who got stranded. Can the so-proclaimed religious people do that? (No offend to true scholars) Animals have their rights to live too, and most pets in Japan are not trained to live on their own, so the Japanese knew that they have to look after them like how they look after humans. They even have special squads mainly to rescue animals. Isn't caring for animals also a good deed approved by God? Yes it is. And yet humans still kill each other without knowing each other's face. Sane humans don't like war, but because there are insane humans who like to trample and kill others that we have to stand up even if we don't like it. But anyway, good luck to Palestine, don't forget that God told you to be fair and kind once you win. Otherwise you are no different from what you're fighting now. And now good luck to Japan, you may be of different religion than we are, but that doesn't forbid us from helping each other out. And who knows, God may love you more than us since God exceeds time. I've lived in Japan and I love their strength to stand together in good times and tough times. Sure no one's perfect, yet it's a good trait to be learned, isn't it?
