A lot of people are asking me to reopen my Facebook account. No way, only kids and prisoners write on walls. (lolz) I mean, I quit Friendster, so why shouldn't I quit Facebook too? Well I did start blogging, but I might stop once I find a Twitter-like thingy that allows more than 140 words.

Always wonder how different people are? Sometimes we think "why won't they see what we do?" without even realizing that not even adults can understand what children are thinking. The difference make people fight, but sometimes they also bring people together. It's understanding and accepting that makes a good relationship. Sure there are times when you just can't accept someone for who they are, at times like that, just be honest with yourself and keep yourself away from them while you try to get rid of those feelings. I'm pretty sure it's a lot better than restraining yourself for years and then suddenly blowing up when you feel like you can't take it anymore. A lot of us have experienced the feeling of not being accepted, the feeling of being different and ridiculed. At times like that, I will just remind myself that God is always loving each of us no matter what or who we are. So what if everyone hates us? Hate is a dispersing feeling, it goes away with time. They are there from the beginning, but they turn into compassion if nurtured the right way.

A long time ago someone asked me why am I wearing veils or why don't I drink alcohol and stuff. I told her, "be my friend for a year, then I will tell you". A year passed and she never forgets the promise. And I told her my answer, "Because my lover says so."

She: Your lover? Who?

Me: Guess.

She: I don't know. Must be someone from your country.

Me: It's not a human.

She: ... urmmm, so could you be referring to something celestial?

Me: It's neither celestial nor terrestrial. I'm talking about the one who created me of course. I'm talking about God.

She: Ehh? How can you be in love with God? Or is it that, you're gonna be God's bride when you die?

Me: Ha? No, those are some Christian's beliefs. God doesn't need a bride. Look, whoever said you have to get married just because you love someone? Marriage is a bind specially for a man and a woman who fit the criteria. Other than that, it can be called friendship, or family-bond. Love has many forms.

She: So in what form do you love God?

Me: Of course not the sexual way. I love God for loving me more than my own mother loves me, for being the coolest one ever, for being so passionate. Ahh, there are so many reasons.

She: What.. God is cool? Is this a new religion?

Me: Of course God is cool! Se can create anything out of nothing, se doesn't depend on anyone, se doesn't brag but is perfectly aware of how great se is. Se doesn't get affected by whatever offending thing people say, se has compelete power over the future-...

She: Ooo, so many.

Me: Of course. If se can't do at least that much, then se is not God.

She: How do you know se is God?

Me: Who?

She: The one that you call God.

Me: How do you know that this is a paper?

She: Ha?

Me: How do you know that this is a paper?

She: Because it's a paper!

Me: Then why isn't this one a paper?

She: Because that's a pen, duh...

Me: That's how it is.

She: That's different. You can see clearly that it's a paper and it's a pen. But you can't see God.

Me: Of course I can't. Then why do you call what you see when you sleep is a dream? You can't see it now, can you?

She: Hmm, but I can see it at night.

Me: How do you know that you're feeling sad or happy if you can't see it?

She: I can see from my face, you know, expressions.

Me: Then how do you describe hopes and ambitions?

She: You know, such and such.

Me: When I say there's a woman, who gave born to you, what do you call her?

She: My mother.

Me: So when I say there's someone who created the earth, what do you call that?

She: lol, the earth-creator.

Me: *lol* Interesting. What about the emperor of the universe?

She: It's called the emperor of the universe too. *chuckle*
Me: Good one. *grin* Then what is God?

She: God, something that someone worship. I guess.

Me: I won't worship God for nothing.

She: Because you love God, for creating you?

Me: I'm infatuated with God. But I think we strayed off the question.

She: Huh? I thought that was the answer.

Me: No no, close but not yet. Maybe I should put it like this. In this world, there must be something that creates, something that has power over all, something that is the beginning of it all. And that something can't be three different things or else it won't be something that has power over all. When it has power over all it must be the most knowledgeable. And it must be very kind and compassionate, or everything won't make sense. It must be able to hold justice, must be perfect. Something like that must exist! And that, is how people know that there is a thing called God.

She: Ohhh... sounds wishful.

Me: Yep, that's probably why there's no obligation in religions. People choose what they want to believe, and I want to believe that it's like that.

She: That's so easy to understand! Now I see!

Me: Haha, actually I always go off the topic, but I'm glad it got through.

She: Are you sure it's okay to live such a wishful life?

Me: I think everyone lives while believing in at least one thing. Don't you?

She: Yeah, I think I do too. I believe everyone will be happy one day. Somehow.

Me: Me too.

She: And here I thought you were going to say that alcohol is bad for you. Like, many people said that to me.

Me: Haha, I'm no pro at that. I'm just following orders from my lover. Besides, there aren't many orders. I'm practically free to do anything else that's within boundaries.

She: Such as?

Me: I'm free to be me, to play when I want, not to work when I don't want to. I'm free to choose my own clothes, to choose what I want to cook. I can choose my personality too! The boundaries are wide, there are so many things to choose from.

She: Haa, so nice. Even though you always seemed so restricted to me.

Me: Yeah, but it's only because your boundaries are bigger than mine. Then again there are people with smaller boundaries. In the end it's also we ourselves who choose which boundaries we want to live in, or to live in no boundaries at all. And because you've been my friend for a year, I'll tell you a secret. I've always wondered how fun would it be if the boundaries were just a little bit bigger.

She: Wow, really?

Me: Of course! People always want more than what they already have!*lol*

She: Haha, I see. That's too true to be disputed.

Me: My boundaries won't be for long either. They will go away once I die. Then I can try so many different things.

She: Eh? It will?

Me: You're not expecting me to wear veils in heaven??

She: You're not???

Me: Hahaha. Heaven is unimaginable. It's meant to be a fun place. And for different people the way of having fun is different. Well, it's not like I'm so confident I will go straight to heaven, but I believe God will save me when the time comes.

She: You know, you've just destroyed all the images I've known! I thought people would only flock with angels on big cushions in heaven. *lol*

Me: I'd like it if there's something tastier than McD in there.

She: So nice. Is there hope for me?

Me: Only God knows that. Why don't you look again for what you want to believe in?

She: There's heaven in Christianity too, and their boundaries are bigger. I'm thinking of that. Why don't you join me?

Me: Nah, I don't believe that God needs a wife and a son. Or a father and mother. Because that's what I want to believe in. I don't choose the boundaries first, I choose my God first.

She: I see. I think I'll choose my boundaries first.

Me: So are we over being friends?

She: Of course not! Why would I be your friend just for that?

Me: Cool, that's great to hear. *smile*

An old song

I used to, and still, watch Slayers. Lina's lacking in many areas, but I like the way she's so strong and confident in most things. Ahah, she's slightly similar to hem, but nawwww, it's not because of that. It's just a great action comedy. And she's sharp, seriously.

And so as I was re-watching them for the how-many-times-I-don't know, I feel like sharing one opening theme titled Give A Reason.

***

Here we go go 走り続ける
誰にも止められはしない
未来の自分へと
Give a reason for life 届けたい

Here we go go走り続ける
誰にも止められはしない
未来の自分へと
Give a reason for life 届けたい

Ahh, the good old days when animes are worth watching and the theme songs always encourage listeners to live. Now I'm sounding like old teenagers who keep complaining that Disney movies nowadays are crap. Well, I can't say that I don't agree.

Reading comments on the disaster that hit Japan, it's intriguing how people are still blabbering on and on about the 'end of time'.

At times like this is that really what we should be doing, arguing about a future that no one but God knows? I remember a hadeeth where the prophet mentioned, even if tomorrow is doomsday, plant a seed today. It was a very short reminder, but it has a lot of meaning. Right now we don't know what will happen in the future, but there is something we can do. Pray and work, pray and work. I said that before, but I'll say it again. Look at how people in Japan are struggling to keep each other going, how hard they are working. And we should lend as many hands as possible for a brighter future. It's the end of time? So what? So what if tomorrow's really Judgment Day? You still have to do what you do everyday, you still have to be kind to people, you still have to help each other. None of us have any rights to condemn one another of something that we have no knowledge of. And stating that doomsday is coming will not help anyone either. Do something that can really help people. We don't know when the end of the world is, and even if by the slightest chance that the end is really near, isn't that the more reason we should help each other stand up for the short future? That's why I extremely dislike the internet. People are spouting childish comments everywhere.

Well hey, I used to do that too. I used to give bad comments where I wasn't supposed to, even though I had good intentions. But that isn't enough. If we really have good intentions, then we must do it the right way. The more reason why anonymous commenting should be banned. Next time maybe we should make it so that every commentator has every little detail about him/her published as well so everyone would think it thoroughly before making any remarks that could hurt someone. Then again, doesn't that mean that the internet helped us expose our true nature? A lot of us act kind in front of people because they know us, but once we get the chance to do something under anonymity, we do it without a second thought. Ironic.
The only good thing about anonymity is when we use it to help someone. Like anonymously donating, or anonymously volunteering to search for survivors. I know a lot of people who do that. It's nice how half of the world keep on giving out their names and their supports to those struck by the disaster so that they know that they are not alone, and it's even nicer how the other half of the world are helping them from the shadows. Because people are working to help each other.

There are many things I respect about Japan especially from this event. They weren't killing each other for food, they even helped animals and pets who got stranded. Can the so-proclaimed religious people do that? (No offend to true scholars) Animals have their rights to live too, and most pets in Japan are not trained to live on their own, so the Japanese knew that they have to look after them like how they look after humans. They even have special squads mainly to rescue animals. Isn't caring for animals also a good deed approved by God? Yes it is. And yet humans still kill each other without knowing each other's face. Sane humans don't like war, but because there are insane humans who like to trample and kill others that we have to stand up even if we don't like it. But anyway, good luck to Palestine, don't forget that God told you to be fair and kind once you win. Otherwise you are no different from what you're fighting now. And now good luck to Japan, you may be of different religion than we are, but that doesn't forbid us from helping each other out. And who knows, God may love you more than us since God exceeds time. I've lived in Japan and I love their strength to stand together in good times and tough times. Sure no one's perfect, yet it's a good trait to be learned, isn't it?
